2.1. Literature review. The literature review (I in Figure 1) on the impact of 3D printing on transport and logistics demands a cross-section of two domains, i.e. between transport (transport, traffic, logistics, accessibility, mobility, supply chain, …) and 3D printing (additive manufacturing, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, distributed manufacturing, rapid manufacturing, …). In fact, 3D printing technology was created 30 years ago. However, the technology was not popularized due to patent issues. Currently, the patents for 3D printing technology have expired. Therefore, 3D printing technology could be utilized in various fields. In practice, 3D printing technology is especially frequently used when cooking food. In recent years 3D printing technology is developing rapidly. In the foreseeable future, when 3D printing is widely used, the world’s industrial structure will be greatly changed. Based on the actual data, this paper constructs an international supply chain model using system dynamics method. And it simulates the reconstruction trend of the supply chain after 3D printing application Where 3D printing was only suitable for prototyping and one-off manufacturing in the early stages, it is now rapidly transforming into a production technology. Most of the current demand for 3D printing is industrial in nature. Acumen Research and Consulting forecasts the global 3D printing market to reach $41 billion by 2026. The advent of three-dimensional (3D) printing technology, The Current Status and Impact of 3D Printing Within the Industrial Sector: An Analysis of Six Case Studies. Centre for Intellectual
The expanding scope and scale of 3D printing technology and additive manufacturing techniques are anticipated to revolutionize manufacturing in a gig economy as they have a greater potential to bring about productivity enhancements at low costs. The paper aims to study and present the overall impact of 3D printing on employment, GDP, trade, and

The description of 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing technology is a process of producing 3D solid objects from CAD models that later are deposited by the printer to construct the model (Bai

Popularly known as 3D printing, the emerging class of technologies has been heralded as both a revolution in production and an opportunity for dramatic environmental advance. Yet while the technological capabilities of additive manufacturing processes are studied extensively, a deep understanding of their environmental implications is still
This study aimed to investigate the impact of 3D printing (3DP) technology on the understanding of surgical liver anatomy. We selected four hepatic tumors that were previously resected. For each tumor, a virtual 3D reconstruction (VIR) model was created from multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT) and was prototyped using a 3D printer.
